At VinYork Leathers, every hide and roll we ship is inspected before dispatch. We want you to be confident in your purchase. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and exchanges work for orders placed through vinyorkleathers.com.
Return window
You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order. Requests made after this window cannot be accepted.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, the item must be:
- Unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging
- Free of any cuts, marks, alterations, or signs of handling beyond inspection
- Accompanied by the original invoice or proof of purchase
Non-returnable items
Because leather is a natural material processed to order, the following are not eligible for return or refund:
- Custom-cut, custom-coloured, or bespoke leather orders
- Items that have been cut, stitched, or modified after delivery
- Sale or clearance items (final sale)
- Sample swatches
Natural variation in grain, colour, and texture is a characteristic of genuine leather and is not considered a defect.
How to start a return
Email sales@vinyorkleathers.com within 7 days of delivery with the following:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return and the reason
- Clear photographs of the item and packaging (especially for damage or defects)
Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with next steps. Please do not ship any item back before receiving written authorisation from us.
Shipping costs for returns
- If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect: VinYork Leathers covers the return shipping cost and arranges pickup or reimbursement.
- For all other approved returns: The customer is responsible for return shipping. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
We recommend using a trackable courier service. VinYork Leathers is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during return shipping.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm approval or rejection of the refund. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the credit to appear on your statement.
Exchanges
If you received a defective or damaged item, we will exchange it for the same product subject to stock availability. Email sales@vinyorkleathers.com with your order number and photographs within 7 days of delivery.
Order cancellation
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund before they are shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled — please follow the return process above after delivery.
